The Great St. Louis Car Meet of 2016
The Moon Car Club will be hosting a once-in-a-lifetime event in St. Louis, MO June 9-12, 2016. The Great St. Louis Car Meet of 2016 will feature cars and trucks made in St. Louis prior to 1931, many of which have not returned to the area since they were manufactured.
The public is invited to attend two free events being held in conjunction with this meet. The first is Friday, June 10 at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. At 9:00 a.m. visitors will be able to view prime examples from early lesser-known St. Louis auto manufacturers such as Dyke, Gardner, Moon, Ruxton, St. Louis, Traffic, and Windsor, along with the more familiar Chevrolet and Ford. At 10:30 a.m., three noted antique car historians will share their knowledge about these early manufacturers. This lecture will take place on the lower level of the museum.
The second event takes place on Sunday, June 12, 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Museum of Transportation, 3015 Barrett Station Rd, St. Louis, MO. The public is invited to see many rare antique cars, meet their owners and learn more about early St. Louis automobile history.
